Space Heroine Barbarella
Barbarella, a psychedelic space adventure, was one of the most avant-garde films of the 1960s as well as the inspiration behind UOOYAA’S 2018 Spring/Summer series. Aside from Barbarella’s undeniable sex-appeal, her character traits of strong will, bravery and curiosity are UOOYAA’s favourites.
This issue of UOOYAA ZINE explores Barbarella’s journey through evocative imagery featuring the Spring Summer collection where sequin dresses reflect a kaleidoscope of colours in the sunlight, blurring the boundary between reality and dreamland. This issue depicts an encounter between Barbarella and UOOYAA in the real world.
